Engine carbon cleaning removes carbon deposits that build up over time in your engine's intake valves, injectors, and combustion chambers. This buildup restricts airflow and reduces efficiency, leading to poor performance and increased fuel consumption.

Common signs include reduced power, poor fuel economy, rough idling, hesitation during acceleration, and warning lights. Vehicles with direct injection engines are particularly prone to carbon buildup.

Stage 1 uses hydrogen-based cleaning technology to remove soft carbon deposits throughout the engine. Stage 2 is a more intensive service using walnut blasting to physically remove hardened carbon from intake valves, recommended for heavily affected engines.

Stage 1 carbon cleaning typically takes around 1 hour. Stage 2 walnut blasting takes longer, usually 3-4 hours depending on the severity of buildup and the vehicle.

We recommend carbon cleaning every 30,000 to 50,000 miles as preventative maintenance, or sooner if you notice symptoms. Vehicles used mainly for short journeys may benefit from more frequent cleaning.
